Web Broadcast for NBC
This is a web broadcast video I created which NBC5 Chicago published digitally. The video was a group project in which my classmates and I crafted an investigative piece about a chosen topic. To gather the contents of the story, I was charged with conducting in-depth research, filing FOIAs and executing on-camera interviews. In finalizing the piece, I collaborated with my teammates to write a script and fact check both the video and written version of our story. Click the image to watch the video on NBC5ās website.
Short Documentary
This is a short documentary I created for a group project about sensationalized news coverage which affects the South Side of Chicago. To gather contents for the project, I interviewed a media expert (a local radio host) and conducted credible and relevant research. To construct and finalize the project, I edited audio clips and video clips and provided narration to combine our materials into a smooth, cohesive message.
Podcast Episodes
These are episodes of a podcast I created during my time at DePaul. For the project, I chose to examine the effects of internet culture on Gen Zās experiences of romance, with a focus on aspects of race, gender and sexuality. To analyze these issues, I crafted interestingly complex questions and used them to conduct interviews with a diverse group of subjects. To create my final product, I identified the most compelling commentary from each subject while using Adobe Audition to edit my interviews and add music to create a high quality listening experience.
